Wonderful and meaningful camp
I rested myself mentally and spiritually
Learned a great deal about my fellow committees and Buddhism
And knew a bit more about what i actually want in life.
Wesak Day( Friday )
Woke up very early to pack my stuff to prepare for retreat camp
Admiring my short hair after bath
And had my breakfast while waiting for Chia Wei
We head out to KCBA to help out with wesak day
And to promote our 15th KCBADYC
The reaction this year was quite cold as most youth felt reluctant to join us
But there is a few very warm response from some youth which gave us motivation
Special thanks to past year participant( Raymond, JingWei, WanNi ) for helping out to promote as well
We helped to clean up after the event was over
And headed to Tuck Long house to bath
We had fun over there especially with the movie CRANK
Its been a while since i had a good laugh from a movie
My personal favorite quote from the movie is " I AM ALIVE"
If you want to know what i am talking about go watch the movie but a warning
Its strictly 18SX
After all the rest and laughter and a few games which i don't want to mention as it will destroy my image and reputation
We head off to our retreat camp location, Mudita
There was no significant activities that night as we arrive there quite late and were quite tired from wesak
Camp Day
We went to Taman Rakyat first thing in the morning
Its was a silent session where we were not allowed to talk as we climb up to the peak of Taman Rakyat
It was a wonderful session as i like the environment there
I used to time to think about some issues i had and focus on the environment
I felt refreshed by the clean air and the green environment
When we reach the peak our 2nd session began, we were to pick up every rubbish we find while going down and throw them into the plastic bag we brought
We were praised by some of the people there and it felt very satisfying as we were doing a helping hand in saving the environment
After that we head off to breakfast and back to Mudita we go
We had our bath and continue with our activities
Chia Wei explain to us the reason of the activities we had earlier and taught us some very valuable knowledge
Then we had a very personal session among the committee which allows us committee to bond closer
We had a late lunch and right after lunch we played a very meaningful game
After that game we had a very fun session of debate
I enjoyed the session very much as i always wanted to join in debate but i just don't have the balls to do it( Yeah my balls shrank )
I loved the session very much and i enjoyed watching niro who is in a debate team battling out against our team
It was a very tough debate but my team manage to win but deep down i really think that her team really won
Dinner was fun, we had meat during retreat!!
After dinner we had the Fifa Retreat Cup
My team(Japan) consist of Me,SuChing,Samantha,TuckLong,Justin
Our opponent(Brazil) consist of Rachel,KwanYong,Regina,WaiYee,Benjamin
The referee is The ChiaWei
It was fun blowing the pingpong ball around but the downside of the game is you can see saliva flying around here and there
It was a mindblowing game with all of us giving in our all to win the Retreat Cup
But the result of the match is a draw(1-1)
So there is no winner.
Camp End
We wake up early to clean up the hall
And waited for the adults to arrive to start the morning puja and offering session
After that we had a talk about cholesterol by speaker Dr Lim
Then we had a strict lecturing by Chia Wei due to our attitude problems
We all regretted it and felt very guilty
We had lunch after the lecture and again Meat!!
We joke around after having lunch and we played Mafia!!
Its was a wonderful session
The game requires mind skills and communication skills
2 session was played and it was the most exciting mafia game i ever conducted
Chia Wei showed his skill in the 2nd session(he was the mafia at the 1st session)
He helped to mafia indirectly by convincing the citizen to vote out citizen
His skills of convincing other was mind blowing
After the activities was review session and packing
We gave our comments about the retreat and head home

Wait!!
Some went home
But most of us head off to Aeon Black Canyon to have a mini farewall gathering for Jessy
We talk and joked around with everyone there
Learned some valuable knowledge from the old birds
and then went home
Retreat is over
Have to concentrate on my exam which is next week
Full concentration in my studies
Just as Chia Wei taught us
Do One Thing At A Time And We Will Pierce All Obstacle Like A Sharp Razor
